Welcome to Interculturalist Commons!
This site is currently under construction.
Interculturalist Commons is an online platform for intercultural professionals to meet. It is a place for collegial support, information sharing, and knowledge creation.
Please be a thoughtful, ethical, and professional colleague to one another. (The site administrators reserve the right to deny or terminate membership when comments, or other behaviors, unaligned with the community's culture are observed.)
Ways to be involved in Groups
As you can see on the left hand side column of this site, Intercultural Commons has "Groups", each of whom has a unique topic related to intercultural work.
There are two ways to be involved in these groups. One way is to find the groups that interest you and become a member. You can participate in discussions, exchange ideas, and post resources in the group page.
Do you have a topic of special interest or an expertise area of practice/knowledge that is not reflected in the existing group topics? Consider creating your own group! This is the other way of being involved.
The groups with photo/logo icons next to the group names already have active facilitators. You can take on a facilitator role for one of the inactive groups or start your own from scratch.
The Commons site administrators (Akiko Maeker, Paul Maeker, Lisa Podratz) will support your getting started. Send one of the administrators a message expressing your interest!
